Honestly, I've tried to pick up Wargame a few times and I just couldn't get into it at all. Wargame and Steel Division toe the line of crossing into a full fledged MilSim, in their respective eras. But it is a bit more dry to play.įor wargame like realism I would go with Combat Mission cmx2 - red thunder\fortress italy\final blitzkrieg\battle for normandy OR Graviteam tactics games "close combat" is an old game that did this just as well but did not have 3D animations.įor RTS realism I would go with steel division 2 though.
It beats all other games for that, including men of war 2 assault squad, which would be the other contender. It's realistic effect is it's depiction of the fluidity of infantry combat animations. The best thing about COH has always been the amazing movie like feel of the combat animations.
